What ever you do, don't purchase one that connects to your center vents. I made that mistake and I can't get it off now.

I did that with those clip based car fresheners, couldn't get it out at all.. wiggled it for a week or so and it finally decided to snap out. Never putting those on again.

Decided to check out that eBay item, it actually quite neat. I'm sure I'll find a better way to mount my phone and have good visibility but for now this ain't too bad for $4.

Yeah, um, that looks like a spider.

I don't mess with spiders.

Take that off my screen.

Now.

The answer is iMagnet.

You can mount it anywhere.

What does the actual magnet mount to? Your center vents?

Check out ProClip USA. (2 part system that is vehicle and device specific).

I don't have any mounts on the SC, but have the Pro Clip in other vehicle.

Also a BIG fan of the Scosche MagicMount and MagicMount Pro (these are universal products).

If you have a case on your device, might want to do with the universal route.

It has the suction-cup mount like most other devices.
It actually works very well, because it's sticky; not just rubber.
You can mount it anywhere though.
I mounted it on the wood-dash, where it's convenient.
