Default Frozen door lock

On the passenger side of my 94 SC300, the door latch that hooks onto the silver door hinge thing got stuck from being freezing outside and after attempting to shut the door several times, it must have bent back a weird way and now the door does not shut at all. I tried taking off the door panel to get back there to take out the locking mechanism latch and the 3 star key bolts on the door jamb, but can't get anything loose to take the assembly out. There looked like there was some kind of cable damaged back in that area but it was hard to see. The lock near the inside door handle does not move now. Thanks in advance.
