Window tint on white SC
So I've decided I need to tint the windows on my 1992 SC300. Job has changed, so its not going to be a parking garage all day like the past few summers.
Main thing is I want to keep the interior cooler and keep the nice original leather from baking in the sun.
My previous two cars(both big Cadillacs) I had done 20% on all the windows, nothing on the windshield. That looked great on those big, formal cars, both were dark colors with lots of chrome. 20% is nice because its dark but no so dark to where the cops will hassle you about it.
My main concern is going with a dark tint might not look so great on the white SC, especially with how much glass there is on this car. I'm concerned it might be too much of a contrast with the very warm pearl white paint.
My thoughts are either go with a lighter 35% tint, or maybe something with a tinge of silver or smoke color to it. I don't want something stupid like mirror tint, just a subtle variation on the standard black.
Anyways, post up some pics of your tint and I'd appreciate your opinions.

I think dark tint looks great on any car but, if you just want to keep your car cool, crack the sunroof and go with 30% or higher, also tint the sunroof dark as you can.. In a perfect world I'd get 50% on all windows, even the windshield, 15% on the sunroof and it looks stock and helps a lot!

only pic I have, but I went with 15% all around, nothing on the windshield. I think it looks much better than no tint. No tint looks better than purple old tint, and new tint looks better than no tint is what I experienced in the 2 week transition haha. Just preference I guess

Dark tint will look great on a white SC. I'd recommend putting a light tint on the entire windshield to block out heat. 50% would be fine. I have 30% tint on my windshield and it really helps keep my interior cool in the summer. Most of the heat comes in through the front windshield.

Honestly you can't go wrong with tint on a white SC. My advice though is don't get em too dark.
Here's a pic of my 97 DWP SC 300, it has 35% front and 20% rear. I had 20 all around but got a fix it ticket and made it lighter, haven't had a problem since then.
Trust me once you get tint you won't be able to stop looking at it.
