We had this discussion recently and there's no discernible difference, so there's a very good chance they're the same, just branded differently for different outlets. Perhaps 'B' stock gets labeled as M2 instead of Tanabe? Mine had a small blemish on one of the tips. Quality seems quite good, though, so I'm guessing it shares the assembly line with Tanabe.

Would it make 700hp w a gte single w a 3" dp, mp?

The 4" now is too loud and low tone. Hoping to make it quieter and higher pitch tone

From what I understand, the M2 sounds identical to the Tanabe, and I definitely would not consider my M2 high pitched. It's a moderately deep grumble that borders on monotone.

I had the knock offs, branded as Top Speed Pro 1s, later on got the Tanabe Medallions. The Tanabe ones' build quality seems to be much nicer. They are polished with a finer grit and have a cleaner reflection, they have a plaque welded onto them with a serial number and MADE IN JAPAN. Medallion lettering is printed on the tips. I think they sound fairly similar, not sure about performance. Here is a sound clip of them on my bone stock 97 5spd SC300.

^ That would tend to refute my theory that they come off the same assembly line. Although, it could still be they're a "B" stock item that doesn't get the Tanabe medallion.
