Hey all, I know it's been forever since I've posted but I'm still cruising around in my supercharged SC400. For those of you who might not know, I had a teal 95 that I wrecked. Bought a red 96 and transferred everything over as much as possible.
Anyway, used Plastidip on the exterior. Most of the interior is spray paint, the dash and a few other small items are plastidipped. The exterior is not perfect but looks fantastic IMO considering I have never sprayed a car before. Eventually I might fix the few issues I do have. The interior also looks fantastic IMO, needs some touch up here and there but nothing major.
Interior pics. I originally did the whole thing in plastidip with orange instead of red but the plastidip was coming off on some of the panels and didn't seem as though it would ever dry so I pretty much re-did everything except the dash and a few other small items.
I've seen a few plasti-dipped exteriors, but your's is the first that made me think it's a viable alternative to expensive re-paints. Well done!
Like I said, it's not perfect. Does photo well though! All of the areas that are so-so I completely blame on lack of technique. Like I said I have never sprayed a car before.
A good thing about platidip though is you can pretty much put some paint thinner on it to smooth it out where needed and then just re-spray it. Will probably do that in a couple of months when my wife goes out of town for a few days.
that is so over the top inside the car but for some reason i love it lol. looks like its straight out of fast and furious and we need more cars like that. awesome car man keep it up.
