2000 SC 400 - NO traction control - is that rare?

For factory 5-speeds and any SC300/400 without the TC option from the factory... I don't know if the wiring is there.
Sure, buying the TC ECU from Toyota is going to be expensive. It's too much.
What I feel is that my car is fine without traction control as long as it's NA, even with the suspension work, LSD and higher rear final drive ratio. Switching to tires with excellent rain traction did wonders but you still have to remind yourself that you need to pay attention to everything the chassis is telling you-- as should be, really.
Once you get into turbos I think the Supra TT traction control ECU (or RaceLogic or other manufacturer) and components are probably what you'd want. This is because unlike the underpowered NA 2JZ or the NOT-underpowered NA 1UZ-FE VVT-i which are both linear in power delivery you can have boost come on suddenly with a GTE or NA-T.
But then, lots of people here with boost have their cars set up without Toyota TRAC and they're fine. My interest comes from my own experience and because I DD my car. Most of the time I'd leave it turned off. On rare occasion in very bad weather I'd like TRAC, archaic as it is.
And on topic... yes, his entire late model SC400 is very rare. I think only second to the 97 5-speed's rarity. The lack of factory trac makes it even moreso.

^^ I can do that very easily in my NA in the wet or dry. Once the car's rear is loose and fishtailing and I'm in the process of bringing it into line (LSD helps here) I will only then be smarting for more power to keep it crazy. 1st gear is great. It's the shift into 2nd that makes the lack of power show but it's still pulling very well. Obviously not like a worked over V8 or turbo engine but it's no dog.
The SC/MKIV chassis is better out of the box than most Fox/SN95 chassis unless a lot of suspension work has been done or it's a 99-04 Cobra with IRS. Not talking about the fun factor here, mind you.

Since my car doesn't have traction control, does that mean that it doesn't have the speed limiter? Correct me if I am wrong, but I think that the 149 mph speed limiter on the late models works via the traction control system, meaning that if there is no traction control, there is no 149 mph speed limiter, and my top speed should be around 163 or so. Is that true?
