ooh in b4 ripped sidewalls. lol jk. can't wait to see how this looks!

and you can easily run a 195 on a 10 to those scared of running 225 or less on a 9. i wish i went 215/40 on my 9.5's before instead of a 225.

Not surprised if NS-2 wont stretch on cause they run small. 275 NS-2 would be appropriate for 12" with luck on 12.5" wide wheels. I couldn't fit my 255/35 NS-2 tires on 12" step lip wheels. So i put 265/35 Achilles on them. My try:
. and

Edit: I saw those 1st page pics and thought: Did the tire shop guys try to mount tires in other way around than in those pics? I mean tires will "jump on to wheels" better if tire is first over inner barrel edge (dont know the right word) and blow air guns from much more flatter outer lip side. Only disadvantage is that its harder to get air going between tire and wheel with air gun because gap is so small.

Pete your so right man, the nankangs do run small, side by side the 275 nankangs were like the same size as the 255 triangles.

I got so fed up I went out and scored some 295/30/20 Pirelli's, these things are monsters and I don't see any issues with these at all, they have about 12 inches of width on them so it will be a mild stretch.

I got 3 of them at a nice price so im happy.

wish me luck im going back in the shop tomorrow.

Wait wait wait.

I thought 8psi was a typo until I saw you said they are going to try 10psi?

Dude you need to put way more than that in. 80psi to bead and leak test then drop down to like 40 to drive on.

This is a 225 on an 11J and 235 on a 12J. I can get a 235 on a 13 so a 275 should be cake. Those chaps are not doing something right. I mounted the 235 on a 12 with no cheetah or fire. Just put air in it and it beaded by itself.

These are the 235/40/18 on a 18x12J, no fire and no cheetah.

I forgot to mention the biggest factor in stretching is sidewall stiffness and the barrel design of the wheel.

Victory!!!!

And Obeewon thanks for the pics and your input, by 10psi I of course meant 100psi.

These guys worked on the 275's for two days off and on, letting it sit overnight to stretch out then trying again, the tires literally werent wide enough for a proper fit, they tried everything, I saw the stretch the tire was just too thin.

I have to say in my opinion I think some guys claiming to have 12's and 13's really might need to measure their wheels again, there is absolutely no way you can fit a 235 on a 13, im not saying your lying, I just dont see it happening, id even bet money on it, especially after all this ive been through the past week.

I think most people measure the wheels from the outer lips when your supposed to measure from the inside of the lip.

235, no way, 275, maybe, with fire and a tire brand that runs a little wide. 295 is a perfect fit in my opinion.

Anyways all the hard work has finally paid off, one wheel is complete and ready to mount

Congrats on getting it beaded.

I cannot speak for a 235 on a 13 as the widest wheel I have owned is a 12J. Wheels come with the specs either stamped on the back or in the case of Work wheels, a label placed on the barrel, so I don't bother to measure my wheels.

This is the back of my VSXX with a 225/40/18 on it.

Not to harp on it but if those gentleman can't fit a 275 on a 13 then something is amiss.
