What does it matter?

DROP IT.

If you dont like it, dont say anything. If you do, at least have it be constructive.

I like the idea of plasti dip. I plan on dipping my car in the future. I'm not going to tell anyone though, because I want to see how much people like it, then crush their dreams by telling them it's a $400 dip job.

I would never be friends with someone that plastidipped their car.

oh wow, thats harsh. A quality paintjob costs a few grand. A crappy one sets you back at least $1500

Not at all. If you know how to state that you dont like it without coming across as a hater, then...I think you get the point. So if you werent rude in your statement that you didnt like it and had a little common courtesy and tact, then it didnt apply to you.

But as I stated, its the OP's car, he likes it, thats what matters. Just dont like it here in the Lexus community that someone does something to their car and the first 3 posts are negative (except one) cause it doesnt "fit in" with what other like or think the SC should be. Like lookEVO said, if you dont like it, move on and dont say anything...

Im done

OP, again the car looks great. Ignore the negatives

People need to stop being so negative and also realize that an SC is not some super fancy, expensive car. I could understand if this was a brand new Lexus, but these cars are ~20 years old! How does it make any sense for someone to purchase an SC for a few grand and then spend another few grand just painting it? OP took the economy route for a paint job and decided to use plastidip which he can peel off and go back to stock color at any time. I don't understand why people bash this product so much. To each his own!

The Sc was designed to be a gentlemans car, not a ferrari but it was a car with class and it still is , we are not wrong to critizise, it is you who is wrong.(you know who you are)

You guys should go try this at a jaguar forum and see the kind of reaction u get , and they would be right , whether the car was 500$ or 50000$.

Plastidipped sc = last step before becoming a parts car

Not everyone is going to like the OP's approach, but if you don't and feel like posting your opinion then state it constructively and keep it polite and mature.

If you DO like it, great to say so as well, but accept that not everyone is going to agree with you and that doesn't make them a "hater". They just don't agree with you.

If you REMOTELY have any questions about what I'm explaining above, then I highly suggest you don't push the button.

Tony, did you do much masking or just spray carefully and peel?

The great thing about this forum is not only the mechanical help you get but the great ideas I get seeing things guys do to their cars. I'm not very imaginative but I know what I like and if I like it enough I copy it. If I don't like it I just move on.

This was the SC i made a thread about with a custom front bumper that was for sale lol. The paint wasnt even that bad to plasti dip the whole car.
Anyways my personal opinion would of been just to paint it instead of using plasti-dip. Plastidip is perfect for small projects but not for a whole car.

It's weird to see a bunch of grown *** men arguing over the Internet about someone else car. I thought the lexus forum would be a little more classy.

OK guys, not going to keep moderating this thread especially when the OP ignores my request to try to keep his thread classy.
