OEM electronic rails to race seat setup anyone ever try this?
So today i wanted to install my bride rep seat i needed to get some brackets made. haters bring the hate lol im on a budget. anyways Terry down at hype racing came up with this idea for the install the ones that came witht the seats were junk. i love it it sits in just about the oem placement and still move forward and back up and down stable and way better than the junk sliders it came with sorry about the crappy pics just took them with my phone. btw its a drift car. seat belt light works

If everything was cleaned up and painted black w/black switches this could be pretty cool. *Also if it was a real Bride seat. Interesting idea. Might solve the "too low" problem that I've heard race seats in SC's can have. I think ScottURNot had to use spacers to raise his seats up.

Great idea. I may do something similar for my passenger supra seat. One question though... Will that pass tech inspection set up that way? Looks like there is only a single 12mm bolt securing each side of the rear mounting plate to the oem base. It would seem safer to go ahead & tamp down the leading edge of the plate, then run a bead all the way around - and while they're at it run a bead the rest of the way around the seat to plate mount. You don't want to be turned away at tech & you certainly don't want an unexpected catastrophic failure of your seat while you are underway.
As far as the aesthetics - I like the idea of an exposed mechanism. Get rid of the rest of the base plastic, wipe everything down, lube the moving parts & rattle can it with a black enamel(rustoleum sticks to everything & the enamel will stand up better than a standard paint).

Bride replicas won;t pass tech for sure.. they aren't certified in any way and after seeing one with the skins of it I'm worried for you, the nice kevlar reps aren;t actually kevlar its just fiberglass with a hay looking material and a single layer of kevlar wrapped over for looks. I'm not 100 percent since you are in the states but I'd check with the tracks you're racing at first
