Default Car Reeks of Gasoline (admittedly my fault)

During the week I ride the train to work, but over the weekend I drive to work because it is just more convenient - especially with the temperatures beginning to drop(although the past few days have been especially nice). Anyway, filling up at the Shell station @ 30 & Dalrock & chatting to this chick at the opposite pump I don't realize that the metal clicker on the the pump has not disengaged, so gas comes gushing out of the fill tube... probably about a gallon, maybe slightly less. I work overnight, so I left my sunroof & windows open to air everything out & made the 30 minute drive home this morning the same way. By the time I arrived home, there was only a faint whiff of gas. I sprayed the interior with ozium then let it sit in the sun all day with the sunroof popped. I cam out this evening & I might as well have climbed straight into the gas tank. What gives? Presently I am airing it out again overnight & tomorrow I will be pulling the back seat to check for leaks, but why would a simple overflow create such an issue inside the cabin??

Pull the trunk trim out. way easier than pulling the seat.

So after 3 solid days of airing out and the gas tank now down to 1/2, there is no longer a smell of fuel in the cabin. What concerns me is that there was no visible leak either beneath/behind the back sear or beneath/behind the trunk liner. Is there somewhere within the chassis that the fuel could have collected when it overflowed??

if i ever have a little fuel spill when adding gas i always come back to it and splash the area with water or just wash the car (with gas cap closed ofcourse) i sincerely always done this thinking the fuel spill would damage the paint XP
