yea man I brought it to my mechanics shop to try that , for one the bolts wont move one little bit ,its like they have been cemented in there , and then I took a huge rubber mallet to it , just pounding it and it didnt budge one little bit
very frustrating, I want these out of my aparttment and onto my car already
that is going to be some crazy stretch... id like to see the results even though i am a tire stretch hater.
Ill stick with my 285s on my 9 inch wheel haha
I tried to lay the face in the new lip to show you guys how it will look but it seems to fit very snug so i decided against it, dont want to scratch it up
some "3 piece" wheels have the face welded to the lip, its rare but not unheard of. nice to see you got it sorted out.
Thanks guys, I know its hard for you to see with my weak cam but I stripped the faces, sanded them with 800 then 1000 then I used a wire wheel attachment on a drill to give it back the 'brushed aluminum' look it originally had. I am VERY pleased with how it came out.
Then I have it 3 coats of a nice urethane clear.
Its all dry now ready to go back but I cant get the bolts back in
Im assuming im going to have to hammer them in with the same force i hammered them out, but I already clear coated the bolts so its going to ruin them.
They did not make this very easy but ill figure it out, i got the loc tite, silicone and a tourqe ratchet ready to get theze back together
