How To: Side Mount Racing Seat Brackets
Hello all, i was never able to find a good source of making your own seat brackets so i started going into. I have the first seat rough mounted but i never took any photos of it so I started going at the second one yesterday. Also this is alot cheaper then $700 dollars.
1). Strip Old Seats of Rails
Unscrew 2 screws
Unbolt believe 12mm, allows a little bit of play for aid
unbolt allows to move rail off of rail
hammer over so you can get to guide inside
with screw drive aim at bottom of 1 or the 2 guides and strike with hammer until lose and can be removed.
REPEAT with hammering to other side and striking the other guide inside.
after you will be able to fully hammer off rail
Here are the guides i was talking about.
Make sure to remove belt buckle
2). Modify Seat Rails
3). Assemble Sliders onto Racing Seats
4). Mount brackets in car and make some rough cuts for cross members
5). Weld or Bolt together cross members between both brackets
6). Mount racing seat and test'
7). Mount or weld Weld seat belt bracket
