Default New owner on a 95 sc300

]Hello all, my name is Jesse. I just purchased a 1995 lexus sc300 with 5sp trans. I've always wanted one for the fact it's a good platform and it's has the natorious 2jz. This will be my dd since my 04 wrx, that I had for 2 months decided to break two ring lands. The sc has its flaws but for 2600 bux, who could complain.

Post pictures or we dont believe you. JK

Welcome to SC world. You said this was going to be your DD, but I know you have some future mods on the mind, so what are they? What exactly happened to the WRX?

Again, welcome to the SC community.

Well as for the wrx. It had a 2.5 hybrid swap (sti bottom end with 2.0 heads). I think the ring lands were a pre exiting problem that I didn't know about since the engine only had 8k miles.. I had it retuned shorty after i bought it for piece of mind and tuner said it had a crappy tune on it before. After tune was done car ran great and then the turbo failed, so I got another stock turbo to save for a bigger turbo. I finally got a bigger turbo installed and immediately got it retuned. The next morning after the retune on the way to work I got a blinking cel (cylinder misfire code). Long story short, the bigger turbo added a lot more stress to the already stressed ring lands. I tell you what 300awhp and 320 ft lbs was fun for a whole day. Engine is getting rebuilt now and be sold immediately after.

Now for the Lexus. I'm thinking just exhaust, tint, wheels, and sound system. Future mods are either 1jz and 2jz gte ( kinda on the fence about this one). I'll get pics later.
