Default water entering the car

Whenever I give my car a good wash, my radio seems to short out. I have to turn the **** all the way up to hear the slightest sound. Any clues? Had anyone else had this issue?

I've been having this issue since January...I wonder if it has something to do with that oem amp. Hmm...

Amp in the back is getting wet. I had to purchase a new one. Mine was leaking water at the trunk seal. I had to clean the seal and surrounding area really well and it fixed the leak.

Also check for corroded harness and bad connections in the trunk area. This is due to water leaks over time. That was my issue. I just replace the entire system with a Pioneer double DIN setup.

Last winter I had water in both sides of the trunk, but not deep enough to douse the amp. I realized that the plastic boxes (I don't know what they are) mounted down in the bottom of the rear quarters were missing the rear screws, allowing road water to splash in. Members warned me that water down in the bottom of the fenders is a common SC issue.

there is also a wiring harness connector under the rear seat on the drivers side that if the sun roof isnt draining properly can cause a short

Thanks for all the help. I'm going to check these suggestions out today. I hope I find the leak!
