How can I fix my scratched up headlight?
I sanded my lights with 2000 grit sandpaper like was suggested. I didnt read directions carefully though and dry sanded it instead of WET sanding it.
Now I have a ton of scratches that wont come out with polish as a result, or at least not well.
What can I do??
Is there a 3000 grit sandpaper? Should I try to redo it, but instead wetsand it??

Get No. 3 Acrylic polish,... rub it on in a circular motion,... let it dry for a good minute or so,..maybe longer....,then buff it out with a real soft towel (terri fabric or something), and repeat till the scratches are gone,.. .then go down to no. 2, and then polish to shine with no. 1.
ACRYLIC POLISH!!

V8Soarer, dont worry, I think yours is normal.
as NAZTY97 & Anthracite said, use polish to finish up. I used Novus heavy scratch remover and I like the result.
good luck.

Wet sanding and polishing it will only do half the trick. I think you have to open it and clean the entire headlight.
Here's a picture of what I did so far. I did one side and got too lazy to do the other side. I think I'll paint the housing black on these headlights. What do you guys think?
It's hard to see on the picture, but the passenger light has a brighter reflective housing inside. The driver side is dull.

use an orbital buffer and some turtle wax scratch removing wax on your headlights and that will fix it. Sounds weird but it worked great for me. If the scratches are on this inside its a bit more of a job.

Get another Headlamp
It sounds like you did more damage than you are able to fix.
And you tried all the recommended fixes to no end.
It sounds like it's time to replace your Headlamp. It''s the easy fix at this point.
