VHT Night Shades
Hey everyone, the other day I decided to pick up a can of night shades from pep boys. Applying it was a breeze (hour prep 15 mins to spray) And it came out much nicer than i expected. Still need to wetsand it and maybe clear coat but check it.

personally, i think its looks bad there is no contrast in the rear end anymore.... you blacked out your tailights, just tinting them would have looked far nicer.
to each their own though... also if anyone rear ends you its automatically your fault

He likes them blacked out, don't hate.
I personally prefer black out as well. I had blacked out on my 92 Camaro, and imo blacked out looks much cleaner. Tinted looks like you were lazy and did a half assed job and didn't get enough coats on it.

You don't need to wet sand or clear. I used VHT on my Z tail lights, then I buffed them with trycut buffing compound. That's the brand name BTW. VHT buffs out to a high gloss shine. As for the wear of the VHT, on the Z... 3 years and then I traded the car off. For the lexus going on two months. No more applications after the first. I do have to agree with someone else. It is a little to dark and your probably going to get rear ended during the day light LOL. I hope your third break light is Bright as F
