Airbag light on after new head gasket install

Airbag light on after new head gasket install
My 20 year old brittle wires do not like being moved around. That is, at least, why I think the airbag light came on once I reassembled my 1993 Lexus SC300. Any suggestions where to start looking for the error?
I may have screwed the pouch when I replaced the cluster. I will try resetting the light but normally that should only be done when the airbag light is on because the car was started when the cluster was out of the car. I did replace the cluster but do not recall starting the engine while it was out due to the aforementioned blown head gasket would be the reason.
Kind regards,
Wade

yeah, it doesn't matter how the light was lit, as long as its not deployed you should try resetting the light.
If there is still an error in the system, the light will not reset. if it was temporary condition and gone, the light will reset.
but don't be discouraged, the ground wire dance took me like 20 minutes the first time I tried to do it.
I almost thought there was a problem in the system still but it was just the reset method being so difficult.

oh and you dont have to start the engine, if you move the key to the accessory position or on position i think with the cluster unplugged, you are going to be getting familiar with the wire dance. best thing to do if you are working on the car with the cluster out is to remove the key from the garage entirely, so no one accidentally puts it in the ignition.
