Default My first Lexus SC 300!

I just sold my 1997 Prelude (45k miles--mint) to buy my first Lexus. She's a 1994 SC 300 with 72k miles--all the bells and whistles ($6500). Before it even arrives, I'm having some nervous twitches--having always owned 5-speed Honda's.

How will the reliability, drive, ambiance, etc. compare? Any thoughts would be much appreciated. I'm a bit nervous.....

No need to be nervous! You'll love her! I went from a Turbo Civic to my SC300. I can't say I miss my Honda! Welcome to CL as well!

Indeed, welcome. Did you luck out and get a 5 spd, or a slushbox?

No judgement, just curious.

You''ll definitely have more piece of mind that you're now being pushed (RWD) instead of being pulled (FWD).

Good find! Thats low miles for the yr sounds like it was well maintained so shouldn't have any issues with reliability, Ive read that 300k is no problem and some people are at 500k. I used to own a 99 prelude with jdm swap, ton done to it . I got a 92 sc300 with 227,000 miles and runs perfect. I don't miss the prelude at all, 2jz is the way to go one of the best engines produced. I like the ride quality better. Should post pics later.

You definetly upgraded, I walk my neighbors prelude in my near stock sc all the time. And its definetly nicer design wise.
