As far as including pedals, etc, that would make this an awfully SC-specific kit. The versatility of the parts kit means you can do the swap to Supras, trucks, 4x4's, etc and just buy the flywheel and adapter. Vehicle specific stuff is just that, specific, and it doesn't make sense to try and meet everyone's specific needs with one kit.
I do know this - my car will be getting a manual tranny as soon as possible. That's the next phase of my project for sure.

I have a w58 sc400, and I love it. The only thing is the speedometer is off. Has anyone used a speedohealer or antything like that? Just trying to find feedback on what to do. I would rather buy that, than spend hella money on a navigation that will tell me how fast I'm going. I know its off topic. Oh, and my total cost was more than I would like to share, but worth every penny.

This^ guy along with Bart did a marvelous job with my swap. Omar is not a 1uz guy like he stated above and I was surprised he kinda liked it after I let him drive his own swap. Get up and go is there with the stock 400 diff, looking into a auto TT diff to lengthen the gears a bit, not loving cruising at 65mph @ 3000rpm. Still dealing with minor issues (i have a code 13, not really related to the swap, but bugging me to death). Bought a new cam sensor hopefully that fixes it.

mtnrat: I think I'm going with the 3.26, how is it compared to the stock unit as far as passing power? With the 4.08, I'm at 3K i'm at about 65-70 MPH, how is the 3.26 in town though??

Okay, so I'm making the jump to 3.26. I picked one up from a fellow off of SF and went to San Antonio.
I was 3.93->4.08->3.26
I'll let you guys know how it goes after a few days of driving. Does anyone have a 3.73 (Supra TT Auto) diff for me to borrow??
So far, 3.93 meh,
4.08 yay, highway boo
3.26??
The 4.08 REALLY help city mileage though, we'll see how the 3.26 does. I drive like an old man though (for the most part lol)

It will be good to see how the 3.26 works for someone else. BTW for quick passing the 5th - 3rd downshift is the trick, or put it in 4th ready for the downshift to third. IIRC 60 mph is 2000 rpm and 70 mph is about 2250.

Okay, so I've finally got my yellow box recalibrator installed, and it's pretty damn close now. I'm still a few miles off but nothing some fine tuning won't fix.
MPG's have taken a hit (I think) in town it feels like I'm driving with an auto tranny again. Highway is pretty good though.
As we already knew, power subsided a bit. At about 70 mph I'm about 2200 or so (my cluster would tell me I was at 45mph).
So highway has gone up, but it's a little sluggish, the 4.08 and even 3.92 would leap up in fifth and run rampant.
3.26, not so much. I thought I would find myself down shifting on the highway a lot, but I don't. It's funny though, cause I can be 70MPH in the 3/4's of third ha ha.
So my honest opinion is this.
If you do a lot of highway driving, then 3.266 is gonna be your answer. If you do more in town you may want to stick for the 4.08 or the stock 3.92.
3.73 I haven't had a chance to check, but IMO the 3.73 will probably be the best bet. It will be just right for city driving, and will be mediocre for highway driving.
Am I gonna swap back to a 3.92, or 4.08? Probably not, the 3.26 seems to suit my driving the most honestly.
So IMO
3.26
3.73
3.92
4.08
If you do more highway driving, and the inverse for city driving. City driving with the 4.08 gave me the BEST gas mileage.
3.26 gives me the worst city mileage
So in the end, it's up to you to decide. Once I start road racing the SC, then I'll probably just man up and put the 4.08 back in, and swap it when I drive home.
