Default Where kind of aftermarket intakes are available for my 98 sc300??

I have searched the internet for a couple weeks now for an aftermarket intake for my 1998 sc300. i know i cant get a cold air intake because the tranny gets in the way so im just looking for a short ram intake but there are none made specifically for the year and model of my car! all i can find are universal ones and i do not wanna do that. i do not want to do the bfi intake.

Short does more harm then good, unless you want sound. All it does is suck in hot engine air. Bfi is the best way to go. Dyno proven too. Short ram is teh rice

BFI is about the only option. As far as Short Ram Intakes, when I had my last car, it improved top end, and increased my gas mileage 4 mpg.

There are 2 types of aftermarket intakes.

#1-Overpriced
#2-Useless

Search BFI DIY, save yourself $150+, bust out the dremel (or other cutting tool) and have some fun.

Do the BFI. You just cut a hole in your air intake box and then put some moldings around it to isolate the cold air.

I plan on doing mine within the next week.

Aftermarket intake are useless because of the piping, it is the same size in diameter, basically you paying extra for another stock intake. Just go BFI
