Almost ready for paint. This is how a car should be prepped

Honestly, from my own experience, aside from the obvious items such as bumpers and lights, you HAVE to remove the window trim AND door handles to prep it and paint it properly. A lot of shops would get lazy and skip those steps.
The shop that painted the car the first time last summer got lazy and left the door handles on and that created a lot of problems down the road as the paint around the door handles eventually cracked and chipped away.
Some of the other stuff such as the rear quarter glass can be taped back using special tape. Right now I am debating on whether I should replace the seals on the windshield since its old and looks like crap.

Jerry: can i ask how much he charge for that type of work? I'd be interested in shooting the whole car. PM is fine if you don't want to broadcast. Thanks!
Johnny: you too... I've seen your build thread of the color change etc.. sick beautiful...

What is your FB account? I'll add you on mine. I do have some key marks on passenger side quarter panel. Paint is kinda chipping by the hood as well on few areas...

Keeping a car fresh is a pity. I already have nicks from people who cant open doors without hitting the person next to them aka ME!
I need a detail to get swirls out as well and its been 6months since my paintjob.
If I had the cash I would get my car wrapped in vinyl.
