Default EGR Removal on SC300

Well while swapping plugs I opted to remove the EGR as well. We have to use 2 of the same EGR plates (the non-funny looking shaped ones). Tehn we have to remove the EGR sensor that was in the pipe, we cut that sensor off and installed a 10k ohm 1/2 watt resistor was in line. Put everything back together (with a little hi-temp RTV on the plates), turned the car on and we where good to go. No CEL's either. I don't know if I gained any power from it , as I am not to fond of the somewhat sloppy auto transmition I have, but power seems to be smoother now. Not sure if it's worth doing alone, but if your doing a plug change it could make the next one a hell of a lot easier with No EGR in the way.
