I have looked into the whole wiper thing my self so many times and it is so hard to get the whole back glass shipped here. I know the rear deck is stamped for the motor assy. so i was thinking about buying that and having the glass drilled out for the wiper arm. Risky move though. Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers guys, just gave her a detail
Menty, want one, sort of looking at:
1 Auto-courture (i think you call it)
2 Vertex side and rear
or
3 97 OEM Lexus kit.
But first the rims and manual box and then the extractors, would have tough times with the kit as my car still bottoms out on everything, do you have a kit bud?

well toyota did it like that , cause believe it or not, we are very cheap in the states, look what motor they put in the MK3 supra as the top line motor, a d%mn 7mgte, same reason why cars like ford escort cosworth not in the states, we would complain about the price. we rather get cars like ford focus, black out the headlight, and call it sport edition. same reason why the MK4 supra stop coming here, too much money, we rather spend on a mustang. nice car by the way.

Hey guys this is my first post here, I have yet to introduce myself as a user - I'm from Australia also...
I don't currently own a Soarer at present time i currently have my agent and myself scouring Japanese auction houses for a 96-99 L-Package Soarer...
to quash a few things - first off the bat - we are NOT lucky in Australia, we didn't get Soarer / SC what so ever, but luckilly for us... our government lets us pay thru the nose for importation fees, should we try to drive something "different"
Soarers are reasonably commonplace here in the west coast of Australia, but they are often smelly old twin turbos with telephone numbers on their odometers...
as I'm sure you're aware, lexus was trying to make a splash in USA with their lexus branding, so why give their cars no twin turbo? simple.
think back what your country was in 1991. would a twin turbo have sold? or a V8... obvioulsy the V8. so why no twin turbo? simple. america's car industry needs to remain competitive. you can't have a luxury coupe that outclasses out performs and out values it's own competition.
anyway. there are many different trim levels of the soarer, unless it's an L-package.. or a V8, or a 95+ build, there is no rear wiper...
previous to 1996... the digital dash is faulty at the age these cars are - luckily - 96 onwards they improved this, as well as dodgy bushings and a few other things such as bleeding cruise control...
in Australia, the Toyota Soarer is a dime a dozen for the most part - here in WA they can be had for about 5-6K. simply because everyone here regards them as old cars not worth anything. the differences however between a 91-92 built car and the late model final builds are such a massive gulf.
for instance the 96+ received the 1JZ VVTI Single turbo, with upgraded ECU and brakes...
not to mention the re-hashed door skins etc - this is why i'm fishing around for a 97+ L-package... i want something worth my time importing from japan
that been said - if you guys want JDM soarer parts i have a contact that i may be able to put you onto... he may be willing to send his parts to your door if need be...
check out www.importmonster.com.au for further details
Menty you say the AC kit group buy is still on the cards i thoguht this happened ages ago??? is it still open cos if it's from shine auto project i'll happily place an order... that is if orders are still placeable...
how come it's taken so long?
and to the OP. nice car man, and - QLD is a nice place for women if you like rough bottle blondes. Perth girls have the class
