I do all my own work so i dont pay for labor. My w58 swap cost me around $650 with all new parts (minus w58, used of course). Then i decided to go single/fuel/ems so i purchased a Soarer R154 with bellhousing, slave, extended shifter for $900. Tranny is mint with 32k on it and not your regular beat the F&%$ out of MK3 R154 with a billion miles on it, so i didnt mind paying top dollar for it. All i have to do now is just get a r154 front DS and a clutch that can hold 600-700 ft lbs of tq and it ready to be thrown in.

The hardest thing is drilling ur firewall for the Clutch Master Cylinder. I was upside down on my driver seat with a lethal drill shooting sparks trying to cut a 3 inch hole in my firewall...intense.

Just don't correct me when I'm commenting on things that I have actually seen an done with my own hands.
The offer for the installed, untouch OEM extension housing is still open if you'd like too see it......ma E-thug
Seriously though, back on the topic. Use your PM if you find it necessary.

You can do a W58 swap under a grand quite easily. Its usually the big ticket items that add up. I.E. trans, clutch pedal setup, clutch, ds...everything else is easy japaneezy.
The hardest thing is drilling ur firewall for the Clutch Master Cylinder. I was upside down on my driver seat with a lethal drill shooting sparks trying to cut a 3 inch hole in my firewall...intense.

what the hell? r154 cost 400-800 in the US? the cheapest one you can find in aus is 1300AUD. most of them are around 1600. thats ridiculous, i could get one shipped for cheaper than buy it here :s
