sc400 restore/pimpage
EDIT: UPDATES!
Headlights finished - page 2
Interior in including Mazda seats - page 4
Suspension on - page 5
New black leather center console - page 5
Window tint and fixing oxidation - page 5
New rims! - page 5
So I now have enough parts to start the treacherous journey of restoring my sc to some of its former glory. Basically I started with a POS. A cheap one tho at only 1500. Mechanically it is great it just need A LOT of cosmetic work.
1992 sc400
It was missing a few things such as headliner/sunroof cover, A-pillars, door panel and various small things. The guy I bought it from was a jackass and tried to paint a few things with the stuff still in the car, he didnt even mask anything off either! Over spray on the windshield, carpet, words, etc. I got some stuff to fix that:
The seats where screwed beyond repair.
SOOOO....
These are Mazda3 fronts from an 06. It appears all of the bolt holes are close and the one even has 2 holes at a 90* angle. More info to come when I install them.
This morning i won these!
Yesterday i started on my headlights since BOTH my headlights where holding waters and my low beams weren't working.
Can i get the dirties headlight ever award?
No pics yet but I have them all nicely installed with a new HID kit. Im going with a different one though because i got 6k and its too blue for my taste. Anyone wunna purchase it? lol.
Today i started removing the entire interior. I reinstalled the driver seat and left the dash for now so I can drive still. That will have to wait till a day off.
I found a good deal on Supra lowering springs (1.5") so those are also ready to install but im going to wait for some raaamz to go along with them.
Thats all for now!

i feel like the only way an interior can look like that is if you stole Mike Tyson's tiger and had to bring it back to him in the car.....
and the previous owner had to have used that car on African Safari's for the headlights to look like that.
best of luck man! bring that thing back from the dead.

I was wondering what you got... you don't say much about owning a SC on TR, lol.
Looks like you got quite a project on your hands! I just recently sold my Black Cherry Pearl GS300, and now own a '95 SC300 5-speed. Oh, by the way, I'm Si-R Trickey on TampaRacing.

GL on the work....uh....I mean project. I nominate you for the "Dirtiest, nastiest, worst looking headlights I have seen on a SC" award. Yep, you have a lot of work ahead of you, but it can look and run fantastically well with some time, hard work, and a little money.

So you were the one who got the rears huh? I considered them but I'm just going to recover mine good buy. That interior freakin amazes me at how bad it got torn up. You certainly have some work ahead of you. GL
