What do you Guys think about this color?
Well, I've been thinking about painting the SC3 lately and I really miss the color on my old Poopra. I wanted something different, so, I took a gallon of DuPont Jet Black and dumped a crapload of violet pearl into it. Here's what I got after I sprayed a few test panels and sprayed my Supra.
I really liked this color a lot because it appeared black from several angles until the sun hit it and then you'd see a deep cast of violet. I'm thinking of painting my SC this color. Any thoughts guys?
Thanks,
Mike

Only the cost of materials. I would never let anyone paint one of my cars. I take a LOT of pride in my work and I don't take short-cuts. I've been painting for a long time and I'm extremely picky, therefore, I paint everything myself. I'm also certified by DuPont and Spies-Hecker paints.
I'm also thinking about possibly painting the car black with a deep carbon-blue pearl. Now that would be trick

i like it..a buddy of mine (the only other SC within 300 miles) has his car painted a similar color..only 18's and no drop so it looks like a 4x4 and altezza tails..lets just say my car is quite a bit nicer

That's a sweet color. I'd probably say go with the red undertone rather than purple, but either way, it's awesome. Maybe put a tiny bit of flake in it? If I drive to IL, can you paint mine? :P
In all seriousness, do you know of any good places to bring an SC for a full respray? Preferably for under $2k? Mine was resprayed at one point before I bought it and it swirls way too easily and is just low quality paint in general.

It's kinda like the GT-R's "Ultimate Black Opal"
