SC4 Dents...help?
I have some major problems with people messing up my car! I was wondering if anybody could suggest anything or estimate how much fixing these dents would cost.
Also, I don't know if my presets just don't work, but they don't seem to do anything. Is there something that I need to do to get them to work?
Here's the first of my pictures....some a**hole hit my car and ran:

I don't know if this is related, but I soon noticed this: On the left side, (where the hit was on the car), the door frame seemed to bend outwards, when compared to the right side

Also, this might have come out of it: These pictures are on the left side at the fron tof the door. The left shows what the door looks like when closed, and the right side shows what it looks like when you open the door a little, how the door and the body rub up against each other (causing the chipping of the paint). Is there anything that can be done about this?

Sad to hear your mishap. I got a door ding fixed today fixed too. People are just too selfish and inconsiderate when they are openning their doors in th parking lot.
Your Door dent looks pretty big and I think it need to be repaired and repainted the whole door panel. Take it to one of those paintless dent removal place and ask them to take a look at it first, if they abd take it out it would be a lot cheaper. Otherwise repairing and repainting a door panel take about $1000.
About the driver door rubbing at the front edge. It looks like your door hinge is going. There is a thread that talk about this a couple days ago. I think it takes $400 for parts alone to replace the door hinge.

Ouch, that's terrible. I have two small dings on the passenger side. BUt I swear if I ever caught someone door ding my car, I'd calmly wait for them to leave and proceed to key expressions of anger into their car...
Anyway, if you take it to a Toyota-certified collision repair shop, they'll sell you on something like: "Toyota/Lexus requires us to not fix the damaged panel, but replace it completely with a new OEM part and paint/blend it all". They hit you with a FAT labor charge for that too. I'd estimate probably $1500-2500 cause they'll have to dismantle the door and also that rear fender is a pretty big piece if I remember correctly. If you're going to go this route, get insurance involved. Otherwise ask around town and take it to a reputable shop that'll do the quick fix well. It'll be much cheaper that way.
