how did you get actual **** off? or down?

oh wait..i think i found a solution..i pulled off that cover on the switches and there is 4 or 5 TINY screws..i pulled them off..pushed up and took off the silver/clear surround and put one for the temp back on

i would love to turn my volume **** into a push start button since I do not use that **** anymore

yep thats what im doin..what we did was bondo the hole and then we're painting it flat black with a lacquer protective coating or two and then we painted the cup holder, the temp ****, and the cup holder in the same flat black..let me go get pics

what you can do is pry off the cover of the whole piece with the ***** and the lettering above and then there are 5 tiny tiny tiny screws that come off..then pull up, remove the clear piece of hard plastic, then dremel the hole down smooth and put it back together and you're done..of course leave the clear plastic part out

I replaced the volume **** with a one button Blue tooth unit called a CIGBLUE
it was designed for a cigarette lighter hole but fits perfectly in the volume hole.

I actually just unscrewed the temp/volume apparatus, then got some cutters and gently cut the volume half of the piece off since i dont need it any more..
