Default Subtle hood modification--SC400

As many of you guys know I love my car, stock and beautiful; would not change a thing about it. Unfortunately recently I took some minor door dings from a grocery basket and have other little chips here and there. This means that eventually I want it to get painted the same pearl white diamond with gold package. BUT i have been thinking about a minor hood modification (nothing cheap, big, or out of context with the car). If anybody has photos of modifications then please post them. What do you guys think? I will not be doing any other physical modifications ever as my car is VERY clean but really like the idea of something more aggressive on the hood. Please post photos of this kind of hood modification if you know any; doesn't have to be on SC400 but preferred.

I always thought a low-profile hood scoop would look great on a (modded) SC, until I saw a picture of one somewhere on the forums here, and it looked bad. Perhaps it was just the way the that car was modded?
Pins maybe? But again, you'd have to have other mods to go with it..

hood scoops doesnt flow well that much with the sc's lines...it's a long smoothly flowing hood. something subtle like seibon fits it well:

if all you are going to do is put something on the hood or a hood replacement it will look Way out of place without some other body panels to match.

You don't want it to look like some kids Civic who went to Autozone and threw some APC crap at it.

Either mod it or leave it alone. half and half looks ghetto. IMO

Not a big fan of hood modifications...if you were going to do minor changes, I'd say do a Autocoture bumper or something.

What the? That's my car! I swear that someone had stolen my SC400 till I looked in the driveway and saw it was still there. Your SC has the same paint, smae wheels ... same everything except no tint.

How many mile do you have on yours?

sorry lex we have a couple differences. mine came with sport trim and sport spoiler. Our stock wheels are quite rare though. mine has 140K on it now. and runs every day like it came off the lot.
I've sent you a couple messages lexdud maybe check them sometime???

i think that car you posted was SICK and the scoop was not overdone for that car. my car actually came with the sport trim and spoiler which make it perfect for contemplating a SUBTLE hood modification. and Mr. 2 i think the long smoothly flowing hood and lines make it perfectly suitable for a such a change. all suggestions welcome. thanks

If you were going to do a scoop, don't do one WRX style (ie. long horizontal wayz) do something long and flowing with the hood (longitudinal).

I hope you dont do those little hood tilt things. What is up with that? If I were to modify a hood I would just get a carbon fiber hood and paint over the entire thing. Why? Its just my style.
