Insurance on an SC300 or 400 ... YIKES!

But what coverage do you get for the price?
I already pay for two vehicles and was hoping to get a "break" on the third (the SC). They want to charge me over $1,000 a year just to drive it 3,000 miles.
I need to look at reducing my coverage before I buy/don't buy that car.

ummm, ya'll got it sweet, i was charged $276 per month/liability. and thats the cheapest. full coverage was over $375. with a good student discount. lol

location and city you are in has a lot to do with rates, and also if you are married or not and if you've ever caused any bodily injury in an accident.
anyways the sc400 '92 is the same rate to insure as a 2004 350z, 2004 rx8, and about 100bucks less than 2004 audi TT quattro for every 6 months for full coverage.
i only own the sc400 but i asked my agent for a comparison.

Auto Collision Actual Cash Value - $500 Deductable
Comprehensive Full Glass Coverage - Actual Cash Value
Supplementary Uninsured/Underinsured Motorists
$50,000 each person
$100,000 each accident
Personal Injury Protection Benefits
Manditory PIP $50,000 each person
Basic Economic Loss $25,000 each person
Additional PIP $50,000 each person
Rental Reimbursement Coverage up to $30 per day for a maximum of 30 days
Unmarried Driver
I think thats great coverage. I had a $250 deductable up until last year. Raised it for a cheaper premium.

Liability with comp on my 92 sc is like 250 6/months
ANd I just switched to Allstate.
State Farm was charging me $800 if I drove the car on weekend only >8500 a year for the GS and 400 for my SC.
I think my wife pay something like a $1 for her 06 GX. Because when she looks at my bill, she laughs at how much I pay.
