New Car - New Plans - Need Some Input
First off, I have been a lurker here for awhile now and this site has inspired me to go all out with my new SC. I had a excellent condition SC400 that didn't really need any upgrading/modding was just a nice dd. But one day I noticed a lonely SC sitting on one of those buy here pay here lots. It had some serious bling wheels, and from 50 ft away you could tell it needed some love. But once I got up on it, I realized it was the one.
95 silver/black 5spd 140k for $4k. Had a compression test done at my mech, and all were within range, and looked over the interior panels, and outside of the seats, they were in remarkably good condition. After that the deal was done.
The goal of this car is to be a weekend cruiser that will occasionally hit a road course track on club days. Oh, and to be able to put other cars in the rear view mirror when necessary.
Now the build process is beginning. It's broken down into 4 stages:
1. Suspension/brakes/diff/wheels tires - working through this now
2. Interior - bought new leather from leatherseats.com (through xoticsc) researching carpc setup. Seems SC is just a perfect layout for this.
3. Exterior/Paint
4. Engine/Transmission - I've only been researching for 2 months, gonna take at least a couple more before I figure out how far I'm going to go.
I haven't taken any pics of the car yet, but let's just say exterior wise it's a diamond in the rough . No damage anywhere, just scratches ALL over.
So I need some input. I've put together a list of questions for stage 1 over in the suspension forum, but nobody has given me any thoughts. I'm going to be placing an order with Carson's before the end of the month, and want to see if there's some things I'm not thinking about.
So if you want to see what I'm doing with the suspension, check it out here:

Thanks again for everyone's help, I promise this will be a car that CL members would be proud of.

Very cool, you sound like you'lll be doing things the right way...
Just stay away from eBay headlights + taillights and you'll be ok in my book =)
Oh, btw, let me know if you need any help with the carputer, I should really put together a how-to guide for us SC owners, more would jump on it...
