Nakamichi or Pioneer unit switch??????
1993 SC 400, had stock 'Pioneer' audio system
from factory, somebody replace with some aftermarket unit. Car bought with no audio system, but thankfully all standard connection were left in-tack. Have found a Nakamichi system
and wondering if it uses the same type connectors. Lexus says that the 92-94 radios
if 'Pioneer' unit could be interchanged, but
didn't know if the Nakamichi had the same connectors. Doesn't seem like they would put
in a different harness just for the radio. Any
help with this greatly appreciated

If there is a harness in the car, the previous owner installed it. No one makes a harness for the SC. So, again if there is a harness, to bad you did'nt know what kind of aftermarket radio was taking out of the car. You could go and buy that same brand, other wise the harness the previous owner installed will not work with just any aftermarket headunit. You would have to cut the old harness out and wire the new one in that came with your new headunit.
