I got bored today and decided to take apart a spare headlight that I replaced on my car.

I wanted to removed that tab in the projector housing and see if it effects the cutoff line or glare.

Here are my results..
1. It increased the light output at the very Bottom of the cutoff line.
2. there is NO additional glare
3. the cutoff line is sharpened dramatically, so is the blue hue
4. the light output is inscreased

This is a great mod, however I will not be tearing into my brand new headlights to do this. But if any of you open your housing to clean the lense you may want to do this.

The first picture was taken about 7 ft from my cieling in the garage

PS: OLT, how did you removed the projector from the housing (if you did). I had to drill 2 small holes into the back of the housing so I could unscrew the ball/socket tilt thingy.

I didn't put it all back together.. I have no reason to.

I just put my driver side bulb in the projector and tested it.
