Repairing Carpet Gromets..
Who/where/ how can I fix the carpet gromets that the plastic things the mats hook onto.
the carpeting in my car just has holes, no gromet.
Can I order new groments, lexus said to see an upholstery shop, upholestery guy I showed said he had nothing.
suggestions?

Nice, actually the dealer gave me a bunch for free, but I said grommet not hook.. :-)

But that's weird that your carpet doesn't have the grommets...but then again grommets aren't something exclusive and hard to find, I'm sure you could find something useable locally. I'll let you know if I think of anything.
You know who's good with stuff like that? CL member "PerryinLA"...he's a really handy dude and he's helped me out a bunch of times. Give him a holla and see if he has any ideas

FYI- you can also get the "Retention Clip" part number 00208-00801 at the dealer (pack of 2 for $5). When I needed some grommets I visited the hardware store, like Mike said. There usually are these displays consisting of dozens of yellow plastic drawers with all kinds of fasteners in there. One of those drawers usually has carpet grommets in there- that's what I used.

Alright I'll start my search, got new floormats from Darrel D. the man at Sewell Lexus today..
and my Supra LSD.

I am getting some of those today! I cleaned up my carpet yesterday and It's a bit of a PITA to get those hooks in.
