Default cross functional parts for the sc300

Does anyone have a list or know of compatable parts for the SC300 (in particular '95).

As in can i goto the toyota dealership and as for a 19XX Toyota XXXXX part and have it be the same as the part that i need for my SC?

Im sure some will fit here and not there and vice versa... But anykinda listing or know compatable parts is appreciated and im sure would help others out there...

Post them here if you know of any...

Toyota does not sell Lexus parts. I've tried this many times, they know when it's a Lexus part and will direct you to the Lexus department.

actually i called my lexus dealer for a window regulator.... they wanted $148...

out of curiosity i called my toyota dealer here in austin (i specifically asked for a 95 sc300 window regulator).... they quoted me $98 dollars plus 20% shipping from the lexus dealership..... im still saving 30 bucks... plus if i pick it up myself and just pay the toyota dealer over the phone im back to 98 plus tax

but my original question was more about if anyone knew of parts that were the same on a toyota as lexus so you could just request the toyota part at the toyota dealership and be on your merry way....

True to that. This is especially true for larger cities where more of this occurs. Although they are both branded as Toyota, unless you know exactly the part you need and for which Toyota car, they won't work with you .... unless if you own a mechanic shop. That's a different story.

Some dealerships do both Toyota/Lexus parts. A vendor we have here on Clublexus (Carson Toyota) is an excellent example of that.

Dealerships at different locations will give you different quotes. Be sure you call a couple of dealerships before making a purchase.

Many Supra parts can be swapped into our cars. Most suspension parts are direct bolt on with little or no modification since we share very similar chassis.

Check these websites for more details:

your best bet would be to get an oem parts book that give you the part # that you would need. As you know the sc300/400 uses a lot of totoya parts and lexus dealerships likes to charge to charge you lexus prices for toyota parts because we are unaware of it.

I recently ordered from carson toyota and they simply had the best price I could find which was $80 for the window regulator component which includes the rail, wire and spool. Part # 69802-24033

Ok I just found out that a different part # exist for different models.

Regulator
92-93
R- 69801-24033 $94.73
L- 69802-24033 $94.73
94
R- 69801-24032 $94.73
L- 69802-24032 $94.73
95-00
R- 69801-24041 $97.51
L- 69802-24041 $97.51

Part # for lock is L69040-24080
This was listed for a '95, not sure what else it fits. Right / passenger side starts with a R.

If you subscribe to alldata DIY then you'll be able to look up the part numbers. It costs $14.95 per year. The part numbers that alldata gives are universal. When you give the numbers to Toyota they won't know that it was for a Lexus or Toyota. The part number will cross to all Toyota and Lexus vehicles with that same part.

Here are the part numbers alldata gives for the window regulator. Give it a try at Toyota and see what you get.

Left - 6981024040
Right - 6982024040

Or you can get a copy of the Toyota EPC. I have the worlwide version and can even look up JDM parts. (and yes, you can order those from U.S. dealers also)
