New Issue with Audio system
on my 2011 model, the audio system goes into automatic switching mode when the weather gets hot to about more than 70 F and it does so everyday here in SFO Bay area..
The SAT radio kicks in and then the channels start to change by itself, or if the radio was off then it comes On automatically and the channels start to change by itself.
I understand there is an electrical issue. So the questions are
Has anyone else had similar/same issue?
Is it easy to take out the radio part to see if there is a loose wire behind it?
Is there a DIY option or do I have to shell out money for $tealer to diagnose and fix?
TIA

I've not had this sort of problem myself, so can't offer assistance how to proceed assuming you're out of warranty.
BTW, I've moved your thread into the general 3rd Gen RX Forum as Infotainment is common between RX and RXh, so you'll hopefully get a little more feedback this way. Good luck.

No, I don't play soccer!
There's been a few members who've had their stereos replaced. And I believe the radio is accessible without taking the whole dash apart. Take a look at this thread. Good luck and keep us posted.

As Anita has mentioned, the problem is likely the radio itself. You may want to give the corporate a call to see if they would be willing to goodwill a replacement for you. 800-25LEXUS. Or you can even post on this forum.
It is a pain to take it apart. Be sure to use masking tape around the radio itself to avoid scratching the interior when you pull it out. I've used a towel to put the unit on when I had it out. You'll get all of panels out following the DIY, no problem. Just take your time. It is those 4 side bolts that hold the radio in place that are easy to drop when you take them out. I never put mine back in. I used some masking tape around the wrench socket to hold those bolts in place.
