You might have better luck posting this question in the 3rd generation RX450h forum here ....
https://www.clublexus.com/forums/hybrid-technology-213/

Also, it's not a good idea to post your phone number in a public forum.

Hi,
Tks for the reply. Seems that no one heard about the recalls in regards to the engine cooler hose leak either in the dealer or Lexus of Canada. I am stuck and always the same answer from Lexus stating that my VIN # does not show any recalls in regards to the engine cooler hose.
Pls kindly provide any helpful links or something solid that I can provide to Lexus of Canada. Tks in advance.

I know Lexus sent me a letter offering reimbursement if it failed (and my engine survived the failure). I found this online http://carspecmn.com/toyota-sienna-h...oler-leakseep/

Default Reimbursement Campaign

Found it at NHTSA online (Years ago I used to conduct a lot of research there for an engineering expert witness group)
However a USA reimbursement program may not be applicable to Canada.
See attachment.

Service Bulletin No.: POL-14-02
Component(s): ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING
NHTSA ID Number: 10056509
Manufacturer: Toyota Motor Corporation
SUMMARY:
LEXUS: SEE DOCUMENT SEARCH BUTTON FOR OWNER LETTER. THERE IS A SEEPAGE OR OIL LEAKAGE ON SOME VEHICLES, COMING FROM THE ENGINE OIL COOLER PIPE THAT IS COVERED BY THE LIMITED WARRANTY ENHANCEMENT PROGRAM. MODEL 2007-2011 RX 350, 2010-2011 RX 450H. *PE

I brought my 2010 RX350 to my local repair man immediately when the Low Oil Pressure light came on. They replaced the leaking Oil Cooler Pipe and when I picked it up the next day they mentioned it was odd and they don't normally see that problem. That got me thinking so I googled it and found the Carspec posting and ultimately this thread. I read the pdf posted by Clutchless - thank you - and followed the directions to the reimbursementLexus.com but my VIN # comes up as not covered? How can that be? It's the right model, year and a 2010 would certainly have been produced between 2007 - 2011?
  • Should I call my local dealer (although with the repair done I'm not sure they would be as interested in assisting me)
  • Call the Lexus Customer Assistance 800#
  • Or, just send all the required documents for reimbursement?
Total repair cost $504.00 so it seems worth a try pursuing. Thoughts, ideas, suggestions?

What is your month of production? It doesn't cover all 2011 vehicles.

You have nothing to lose by calling Lexus and giving them your VIN. Even if outside the official recall range, they may offer some reimbursement.

Thumbs up Good news!

I contacted Lexus Customer Satisfaction and my VIN# was found to be covered by the warranty enhancement! I now need to send several documents (ownership, diagnosis, repair invoice and proof of payment) and should find out results in 6-8 weeks. Fingers crossed for a smooth resolution.
