2014 RX350 exhaust vibration
I bought a 6,000 mile RX back in december and notice the vibration at slow acceleration.
It sounds like it's coming from the rear of the vehicle. It stops when it gets up to speed. I looked for anything lose and don't notice anything underneath. Has anyone here experienced this?
I'm not too impressed with my local dealer so far to have them look at it. It sounds as if something is loose inside the muffler. It does not vibrate upon rapid acceleration.

There is a long thread on toyotanation.com about this being a problem on the 2014-2015 Highlander at about 1700rpm. It appears to be related to an exhaust bracket attached to the engine. There is some reference in the thread about this being a known problem with the RX.

Pat, I'd suggest you have the dealer look at it and ride with you to experience it. Let us know please what it turns out to be.

I'm going to get it up in the air on jack stands and take a look. It sounds like a heat shield but, won't know till I take a look. The dealer will be the last resort. I have found through the years that the more people that touch your equipment the more risk for damage. I know that sooner or later I'll have to see the dealer on other possible issues. Got my first complimentary oil change last week. It's the first time I have ever had someone else change my oil. I'll be changing my oil for now on as I have in the past. I caught a dealer committing warranty fraud on my vehicle years ago and lost faith in dealers period.

I'm surprised no one else here has mentioned this issue with their RX.

I have not had the problem on either my RX or Highlander. It is one of the most talked about complaints along with hatch closing issues. In that third generation Highlander thread there was just one mention of the problem being solved on the RX. These forums certainly give you a lot of ammunition, when the dealer service department tells you they can't duplicate the problem. That being said, you probably would be best taking it to the dealer to diagnose as there may be a TSB on it that you are not aware of. I assume you are still under warranty, you might as we'll take advantage of it.
Hope things work out for you. The RX and Highlander are both great cars.

Just found a number of threads in this forum that might help. Click on "go" at the bottom and then "forum tools" at the top and search the word "vibration" or "droning" and you will find a number of posts.
