Rear seat release handle
Located in the cargo area. Believe the cable in ours on the RH side is either seized or disconnected. May/may not be adjustable.
Question:
Removing the trim plate around the handle. Friction fit into the side wall panel ?
Can't get too much detail on Sewell's site.
Thanks in advance.

corradoMR2,
Perfect images, exactly what I was looking for. Appears I'll have to remove the side panel to get enough access to it. "Appears" to have an adjustable end-fitting under the seat, similar to the old brake cables on a 10 speed bike.
Hoping the same end at the handle. I'll likely wait until warmer weather comes as I tend to have a heavy hand on hard plastics in the cold weather, even though the garage is kept warm.
May also just order a replacement & have it ready to prevent tearing her car apart twice.
Cheers & Thanks again.

This older thread on installing sound deadening has photos and instructions for removing the rear interior pieces that should be helpful when you get to this project

Hi SteveCraig,
Can you tell me which diagram on Sewell's site to get the cable part you bought as well as part number? I think my LH rear side handle also may have seized or disconnected and need to order this part since the LH rear seat will no longer fold down, but RH side is fine. I rarely use this handle and I wonder if it's a part that normally just fails over a period of time with normal wear and tear or if it's a Toyota defect.
Thanks for your help Steve!

I can forward the drawing Sewell sent me with the image. It was not available on the site.
I have it here in PDF but can't figure how to attach.
Send me your e-mail please to: sbcraig@nb.sympatico.cs
RH cable is:72620-0E010
LH cable full number not shown.
Might have it sorted out.
