Lexus NZ. Am I Expecting Too much ?

I'm sorry this problem is rattling your cage, pun intended. However, at the end of the day, they are still rattles. As frustrating as they may be, they are just an annoyance and do not affect any functionality of the vehicle.
You may want to give another brand a try, say of a German flavor. That might make you forget all about rattles and poor Lexus experience.
Also, are you riding on 19" rims as 450s in our market, or 18s?

As an update…
A couple of weeks ago - I had a meeting with the Lexus of Northshore CEO to explain the issues and concerns with this particular car. He promised to get back to me with an offer.
Today 1st October and Lexus of Northshore have offered to swop my car for a newer 2014 model with less than 4000km on the clock as a replacement. I have picked the car up and they have given me just over a week to check the car out and make sure it has no issues and that I am satisfied.

Good luck with the new RX.

Thank you for your kind words.
The 2014 model is better. This car seems a little quieter than the previous 2011 model [ might be because this car is newer ]. Just for information – the replacement car has 3970km on the clock and the old 2011 had 32548 km.
Differences I have noted so far are as follows:
Wheels are different style, front mudflaps on this car, front bumper latest style, running LEDS, rear lights are different [ have fin on side ], interior has grey wood trim, coin holder, front middle console arm rest raises all the way up, separate cubby-holes inside, USB connection easier to get to…HDD based satnav, GUI different, Mouse different [ no dedicated screen off button , Electric mode button near arm rest, buttons on steering wheel are different, voice recognition…
I do prefer the older style steering wheel with the jog button. Also the older 2011 model steering wheel has access to a lot of the personalized options [ which I prefer ] – that now have to be accessed via the satnav screen. I am still trying to figure out - how to only have the drivers door open when I open the car and like wise when i get out of the car - only the drivers door open..
Overall a huge improvement as this car does not have any rattles.
It is most commendable of Lexus of Northshore/Lexus NZ to see that they are standing by their product!

Having only the driver's door unlock when you touch the handle, or use the fob, this is a setting you can do on the nav screen or if no nav screen, using the multi-information switches. See the Customization section of your manual. Hope this helps.

Hi Raylor4
Found it - just needed to open my eyes ..
Many thanks..
BTW: My 1 week trial of the replacement car is up tomorrow - all good! Will be taking the car back to have a tow-bar and rear bumper protector fitted [ same spec as original car ] and after this - its just a matter of exchanging the cars completing the ownership paperwork!
I should add - that with the original car, I had an additional engine oil & filter change performed around 7500km. I asked the dealer how much it would be - to do the same on the replacement car - and they have offered to do it at no cost !
