OK, I figured out what the 3 left side buttons are on the rear view mirror. But even after searching the manual, I can't figure out what the two on the right are for.

The other buttons control the anti-glare function of your mirrors. One turns it on and the other turns it off. Some models only have one button to turn it on and off.

There should be a little LED that turns on and off to show you if the function is turned on or off.

The other LED looking thing is a sensor to sense whether headlights are shining into your review mirror.

Thank you. The other thing that is disappointing is that the vehicle doesn't have the tire pressure numbers displayed like my 2009 LS.

Ok, I know about the anti glare function but what are the 3 buttons to the left? Something to do with the garage door opener? If so, how to program?

First confirm the three buttons are 'home link' buttons. Next verify that your model year uses the new homelink protocol or the old 2011 RX450 uses old. New protocol is used in new garage openers. If you have the new opener then you need to purchase a repeater with its remote and follow the steps exactly as stated in its manual [the process is unique]

Programming the home link is pretty generic [applies to all vehicles and the vehicle can be switched off]. So read up the process in the owner's manual. or even look up the process on the net for any vehicle. Step by step writeup is in the First gen RX forum

I prefer driving out of the range of the garage opener for programming the vehicles home link.
First erase the old programming.
Then program a specific button the remote [hold the remote near the home link buttons and transmit. Hold down the button you want to program and keep holding till the red-light starts blinking rapidly. Programming is complete.
Now register your programmed button with garage door opener. Bring your RX outside the garage. Press the the program button on the garage door opener motor and within 15 seconds or so press the programmed button on your RX. The garage door opener light will blink to confirm programming.

PS: To transmit and to program you need 12v battery of the vehicle. The home link is directly [un-switched supply] connected to 12v battery. The program codes are burned in the eeprom and once programmed, you can disconnect 12v and the unit will remember the program. Once you attach a new battery the remote would work.
