I seem to be getting (the last few weeks) a random audio announcement from my 2014 RS450h - "Severe Weather nearby" when there is no weather nearby (just sun/clouds).

I checked the XM weather feature as well.. although that feature (graphics) seem pretty useless.

Is this message driven my XM and nothing I can do to stop it?

theres a setting to disable it but cant remember off the top of my head where..just go to car settings and look around.

I called to have all the xm features cancelled ( even if i have months of trial left).
I just find them unreliable, especially the traffic.
And here in LA, the traffic capital of the US ( it sure feels like it!), Reliable information is a must.

I find the Google traffic far more accurate. ( using google maps to route your destinAtion).

High winds seem to generate "Severe Weather" alerts. Very annoying.

I was just remarking to a friend today that I found the traffic alerts really useful and quite accurate on my recent 1,200 mile trip (FL - GA - TN - KY - IL - WI) It literally saved me hours of windshield time due to several areas of stop and go traffic. I like the green/orange/red map indicators on my chosen routes and the voice updates as I near problem areas.

OTOH, I don't think the weather function is very well implemented. I'd like to see the weather radar data on the NAV map screen much like the Weather Channel on the PC.

More than likely, it's due to flooding concerns somewhere in your area. Unfortunately, I have no idea what we can do to stop it.

^ Let the subscription lapse. I've had the warning come up with sunny skies as far as the eye could see. Can't say I found it was useful otherwise. So off it went after the trial period.

If you click on the icon on the map, doesn't it tell you the warning? Flood warnings common around here.

Maybe it was wind as we had some gust. No flooding around here....

Also wonder why after the first few replies to messages in this topic I get a email notifying me (as i desired), but later I get no emails (when more people reply)... This happens to other topics/messages as well....
