Best/cheapest dealership that offers extended warranty (in Bay area) or CA??
I just bought a used 2011 RX 350 with 43,000 from the Lexus dealership. I know I have until 50, 000K to buy an extended warranty. The dealership wanted to charge me $3800 for 7years/120K, Platinum plan, which I thought was high. I'm trying to shop around and researched that I can buy at any dealership and compare prices. I'm most worried about the electronics/navi on this car and other things wearing down.
I was reading that the 7 years starts from original time of purchase which means that's 3 years already into the extended warranty. I researched there are other plans that start as the date of purchase and not starting from original purchase date.
Would you get an extended warranty and if anyone has, where did you buy it ? Who do you recommend? Can you only buy it in CA, because out of state is less expensive.

OP: do a search on extended warranty and you should find a few recommendations
If your car is a CPO - you have to get extended warranty at time of purchase
I bought the extended warranty for my IS out of state - and it's about 40% cheaper
