IPOD for 2014 RX350
None of my Ipods work in this car. I realize they are older units(Gen 5) but neither the dealer nor Lexus can provide a list of which Ipods will work. I know the work around is just to use a USB thumb drive and that works fine but I wanted to use the Ipod. The Iphone works fine but I don't use that for music.
Any ideas or lists of which Ipods work would be helpful. The dealer is not sure the latest version will even work
Thanks
Bob

Hmm, I have the 2014 and a older Gen 5 Ipod (Video 160gb). Mine works. I had to plug it in and unplug it a couple times to get it to work, but now the car finds it and uses it fine.
I think I saw a list off approved ipods (for the 2010 RX). I dont remember on what site, or if the 2014 RX has a different list. I am sorry I can't help more.

I hope you get it to run as my 5S and iPod Touch work perfectly via Bluetooth on my RX F-Sport. It could not work better.

A lot of these types of problems, and when all seems to fail, are related to the cable being used. Are you using an Apple brand cable, perhaps the one which came with the unit? Or, perhaps you are using some cheap(er) third-party cable? Try finding one of the cables which came with the iPod for testing or purchase a new one from an Apple store.
The other would be to make sure the software on the iPod is up-to-date using the iTunes software.

I have an Ipod Classic and it did ultimately work in my RX but first I had to hook it up to iTunes and update the software before I could use it.
Before that, the RX didn't recognize it. I think that's the first place to start.
