2010 RX 350 with Philips Ultinon 6000K
I just changed my HID to the Ultinon 6000k. It is wicked, very white and much brighter than my old Philips HID @4200K.
The photo below shows my third party fog lamp in 6000K and matches quite well, but I still trust Philips foremost for its quality and consistency. I had several T10 LED purchased from the recommended site in this forum, but already failed 2 of them and still counting. And I have 2 extremely great and bright Philips T10 in my DOME light and is excellent.

No, I don't play soccer!
Nice job, austinav. I'm sure the HIDs look better in person. Pictures don't quite capture the light well. Do you notice a big difference while driving? I've been very happy with the Philips Diamond Vision I installed in the fog lights a while ago. They're halogen but I think they look just as good as HID.

Please post actual results on the road.
6000K is a reference to the colour of the light, expressed in degrees Kelvin. A 2700K - 3000K lamp closely matches the colour of an incandescent 60W bulb.
I had some 6500K CFL lamps in my outside lights on the house. Too bright, couldn't look at them.

When I had the original HID bulbs(a Philips XenEco 4200K), I thought it was very bright and white. But since my car is 3 years older, I think I should "upgrade" and try the Philips Ultinon which many members here had experimented. I chose 6000k which is the benchmark of white light. Attached is the photo of the actual cast on the pavement.
Yes, since the bulb is newer, I notice a significant brightness improvement. I cannot quantify with a percentage, but it is an improvement. I can see further and better in the dark alleys of Cambodian streets.
My fog lights are bright but it won't shine far, but the colour matches the Ultinon 6k.
I am a fan of Philips Automotive lightings, I am sure your Diamond Vision bulb which is 5000k, is very close to the XenEco HID you have, and is also better than any other brands out there. But I would like to move to a Philips 6000k Halogen bulb fog lamps if there are any.
See below. Fog lamps are off. Headlight at "low".
Brightness and white result is very close to what it was.

austinav, thanks for the picture from inside. They sure do give a bright white light. You could probably spot a bug crossing the road 100 feet away, LOL! And you're correct about the Diamond Vision being 5000K. They have a very slight bluish hue to them, 6000K would probably be even more blue. I chose them over HID and LED because it gives the 450h a unique look.
Enjoy the Ultinons!
