Trim in Trunk/2012 RX 350
Help!
There is an index sized piece of plastic that covers are in rear hatch area, that cracked when trunk closed on it. The trunk/liftgait still works, but I need the piece that covers it. I glued the pieces back together but I don't think it will hold.
The dealer wants to charge me $426.00 for a rear panel assembly.
Does anybody know what that part is called. In the later models, it appears to be metal, not plastic.
Thanks,
JMJ

JMJ,
Are you talking about the piece with the trunk latch/lock in the middle? Part 58387B in link below. Sewell sells it for $109.20, or a little cheaper depending on the color of your interior. That's the only piece in the trunk I can think of that changed to metal. Looks pretty good too, IMO.
