Default Advice for new RX owner ?

Wife bought the rx350 F-Sport on new year (2013), heard it has alignment issue. Has anyone experience with this?? told her don't buy it.. but here I am..

It only has about 5k miles on it, and bunch of rock chips on front bumper and other minor scratches...LOL, and am thinking about changing the oil but haven't done so, should I wait? seen other post indicate oil change at 5k and other 10k.

Welcome to CL, droopy. I'm not aware of any alignment issues. Usually the dealer puts in too much air. That typically solves any ride problem. Chances are you have the Dunlops. They have a soft ride. Let me ease your mind. You're entitled to a free alignment within the first year or 12K miles, whichever come first. So I wouldn't sweat it. The F-Sport is a great vehicle. As far as the rock chips, a clear bra would've prevented them. You can get them touched up and get the clear bra installed. Lexus paint is unfortunately soft. And you can wait until 10K for the oil change, also free. But go with what makes you comfortable.

Just so you know, we have a rule around here, Pictures are mandatory

Welcome to Club Lexus, droopy128.

Do not believe anyone here has complained about any alignment issues with the new vehicles -- F Sport or otherwise.

As for when the first oil change is due, the best place to answer such questions is in your Owner's Manual and Service Maintenance Guide. They are your friends and should be read to better understand all the features in any new vehicle. At the time of purchase your wife would have been informed about many of the features and services available.

Check out the following for your paint chip issues if you have a steady hand and wish to tackle this problem. You can see if they have a kit in your color, however, I would check with your wife first as it is her vehicle:
