I was referring to the fact that the 2010 is 4 yrs. old plus the 3 on the CPO which means the would be for 7 years total . 2010 Rx's came out in May 2009.

A CPO warranty runs for 3 years from the date you purchase the car; the original Lexus new car warranty runs for 4 years from the "in service" date (usually the date of sale). If the car is resold as a CPO less than 4 years from the in-service date, the two warranties run concurrently, not consecutively. Since the 4 year warranty is more inclusive than the CPO, the effective CPO coverage equals the time after the first 4 years is over. E.g.: when I bought my 3 year old RX, I had 1 year of full coverage under the original new car warranty, and two more years of coverage under the CPO warranty. (Never used either one, of course.)

Gotcha, now I see what you meant. When I bought my 2010 CPO a few weeks ago, I merely looked at what I had going forward, 3 years/100,000 miles, which would include any remaining mfg warranty.
