Can I hatch mount carseat at rear center?
Can I latch mount a carseat at the rear center? I asked the question when I test drive, the sales had no idea. I asked the sales when I bought the car. He told me the middle share the same hatch hook with side seats. I need to mount one car seat in the middle and one on the side.

From just reading the detail, I think it depends on what kind of child seats you intend to install, but both sides allow all variations -- not sure the center does. I don't have personal experience ever needing to put one on my RX. Check this manual starting on p179 for details where latches are and recommended connection points. If that does not help, an alternative is to get a hold of the technology specialist in the sales dept where you bought your RX. Every dealer has one, and their job is to help with how to use the technology in your Lexus. Reports here have been that many know more that some of the general sales folks, and certainly have more contact points in Lexus to find the answer for you if needed.

I've got 3 car seats mounted in the back. Two of them use the seat belt, but that is because their LATCH mount is flimsy and may scratch the leather seats. I have heard that "borrowing" a LATCH hook is permitted for the middle seat, but is not recommended to be shared between side and middle seats.
Personally, I don't see it being a problem, as the latch hooks are large enough in the RX for 2 seats to be hooked-up to one loop.

Tried it last weekend, installing a baby carrier base and a britax marathon car seat. First tried baby carrier in the middle and Marathon on one side. barely fit before I realize the baby carrier bump into the marathon. So I end up having one on each side. My wife can fit in the middle, although not very comfortable. She said it was ok.
