RX450H 2013 Questions
Hi, I have had my 450H for almost 3 months. I have the saddle interior. Just curious if blue jeans really fade onto the leather upholstery? Our salesperson tried to talk us into treating the leather so that would not happen.
Also, has any one not put the RX in either sport or eco mode? If so, was the gas mileage any different, better or worse?

Yes, blue jeans will transfer onto lighter material. Check out some other threads here and I. He detailing forum noise of Leather Masters Protectand and Cleaner. It's what I use on my parchment (even lighter than yours) interior, and it's easy to remove the transfer and keep things tidy.

I have the same interior, and blue jeans are the 'uniform' here in Cumming, GA. I wear them nearly every day of the year and have no transfer. That said, I know others do and I've seen it on rentals. I can't explain unless it's just that mine are brand name, pre-faded, washed a lot ?

What's interesting though to me at least, is that while the slight blue cast shows up mostly on the door side of the drivers seat where my @#($* rubs each time I get in or out, when I cleaned that off using a clean white towel and a little Leather Masters Cleaner Foam, I got some that was not visible off the bottom of the seat as well. That led me to suspect everyone is getting this transfer to varying degrees depending upon how much dye is left in their jeans, but it's only visible enough for people to care about on the lightest seat colors.

Biggest reason I got the black interior. Here in the Northeast I don't worry about the hot sun as much as the South or West Coast. I also keep the RX in the garage at home.
